From Brief to Set

You tell me what you need. I come back with crew options, day rates, and availability, usually within 24 hours. All crew are vetted through previous productions I've managed. No surprises on set.

For international productions, I handle all crew contracts, rate negotiations, and on-the-day management so your line producer or EP doesn't need to navigate UK employment practices or BECTU agreements remotely.

Equipment

Edinburgh and Glasgow have equipment houses stocking current-generation camera packages, lighting rigs, and grip. For specialist equipment, London houses offer next-day delivery to Scotland. I source all equipment to spec and manage the logistics.

Common Questions

Are all your crew BECTU registered?+

The majority are, yes. BECTU is the UK's media and entertainment trade union and registration is the industry standard for professional crew in Scotland. For some specialist roles or smaller productions, I also work with experienced freelancers who may not be BECTU members but are thoroughly vetted through previous productions.

Can you hire crew for just one day?+

Absolutely. Single-day shoots are common, especially for commercial and editorial work. Day rates are standard in the Scottish industry. I'll put together the right team whether it's a one-day TVC or a two-week drama.

What about crew for drone filming?+

I work with several CAA-certified drone operators experienced in Scottish conditions and airspace. Drone filming in Scotland requires specific permissions depending on the location, particularly near airports, in national parks, or over populated areas. I handle the airspace applications alongside the drone operator booking.

Do you handle crew contracts and payments?+

Yes. For international productions, I manage all UK crew contracts, rate negotiations, and payment processing so your line producer doesn't need to navigate UK employment practices or BECTU agreements remotely.
